Day 1 Departrure city-Tbilisi
Departure according to flights to Tbilisi. Arrival at Tbilisi airport. Tranfer to the hotel. Overnight.
Day 2 Tbilisi
After breakfast we will go for a city tour, we will visit the Metekhi Church, Sioni Cathedral and Anchiskhati Church. After lunch we will go to Narikala Fortress & we will see the Abanotaubani sulfur baths and the History Museum. Dinner and overnight.
Day 3 TBILISI (GORI – UPLISTSIKE – MTSKHETA – JVARI)
After breakfast we will go to the Shida Kartli region, where the city of Gori, birthplace of Joseph Stalin. After that we will visit Uplistsikhe, ancient city carved into the rock. Later we will go to Mtskheta, the ancient capital of the kingdom of Georgia. After lunch we will visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It was built in the eleventh century and is known as the place where the sacred blanket of Christ was buried. Also we will visit Jvari Monastery, situated on top of a hill, it is considered one of the most sacred and spiritual places of Georgia. Return to Tbilisi. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4 TBILISI (ANANURI – STEPANTSMINDA)
After breakfast we will go to Mtskheta Mtianeti, in a region in eastern Georgia. Later we will arrive at Stepantsminda, a small town in Mtskheta. After short walk we will visit Trinity Guergueti church, offers a nice view of Mount Kazbek. After lunch we will go back to Tbilisi, there we will visit Ananuri architectural complex, one of the best Georgian monuments of that time.
Day 5 TBILISI – TELAVI (ALAVERDI – GREMI)
After breakfast we will visit Kakheti, is a region formed in the 1990s in eastern Georgia from the historical . There we will visit Alaverdi Monastery, the oldest temple of the great medieval Georgia, also is known as the cellar of Alaverdi, some parts of the monastery date back to s.VI and others, such as the Cathedral, the S.XI. Later we will visit Gremi, architectural monument of the sixteenth century. After lunch we will visit Numisi in Velistsikhe, cellar over 300 years old where you can taste the local wine. Dinner and overnight in Telavi.
Day 6 TELAVI – TBILISI (DAVID GAREJA)
After breakfast we will go to David Gareja monastic complex, founded in the sixth century by David Garejeli, is unique for its murals and the monastery carved into the rock. There we can see a resort located in a desert area on the border with Azerbaijan, and consists of thirteen monasteries, among which Lavra Monastery and Udabno. Picnic lunch and back to TBILISI. Dinner and overnight.
Day 7 TBILISI – BAKU
Departure flight bound liner BAKU. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.
Day 8 BAKU (GOBUSTAN)
After breakfast we will go for a city tour. There we will see the Alley of Martyrs, where we can enjoy a view of the bay of Baku and Icheri Shekher, with its narrow streets and historic buildings. After that we will visit Maiden Tower with medieval baths. After lunch we will go to Gobustan to see an outdoor museum of cave paintings. Later we will eturn to Baku. Dinner in a medieval caravanserai. Accommodation.
Day 9 BAKU (PENINSULA ABSHERON)
After breakfast we will go for a tour to to Absheron peninsula. There we will see the temple of the eternal flame, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. After that we will visit the Mardakan fortress and finally we will go to Yanardagh, famous mountain fire. Lunch & return to Baku. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 10 BAKU – HOME
Breakfast at the hotel. At the scheduled time, transfer to Baku airport. Departure according to plan return flights. Arrival home. End of services.
