Day 01 DEPARTURE CITY- ISTANBUL
Departure according to flights scheduled to Istanbul airport. Arrival at Istanbul airport. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.
Day 02 ISTANBUL
Breakfast. Free day on your disposal to explore the city with the possibility of an optional excursion. Accommodation.
Day 03 ISTANBUL – BURSA
Breakfast. Free morning in this wonderful city where you can go for a half day optional tour of the Bosphorus. In the afternoon we will go to Bursa acrossing the Marmara Sea by ferry. Bursa is known of being one of the cities of history, with its ancient streets, houses and hot springs. Dinner and accommodationt.
Day 04 BURSA – IZMIR
After breakfast we will visit Bursa, the first capital of the Ottoman Empire. There we will begin the tour with the Green Mausoleum. Later we will visit the Great Mosque (Ulu Cami), Seljuk-style, with an oratory 12 pillars supporting the weight of twenty domes and also we will visit the Koza Han (Silk Market), XIV century building. After that we will go to Izmir, the third largest city in Turkey. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 05 IZMIR – EFESO – PAMUKKALE
After breakfast we will go to Ephesus, the classical city best preserved in Turkey, built around 1000 BC there we will see the Library of Celsus, Temple of Hadrian and his great theater. Later we will continue the visit to an exhibition of furs, one of the places where parades are made and sold leather clothes. After that we will go to Pamukkale. After that we will visit Hierapolis, an ancient spa town founded around 190 a. C. by the King of Pergamum and completed in Roman times with a beautiful theater and a large necropolis. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 06 PAMUKKALE – KONYA – CAPPADOCIA
After breakfast we will go to Konya, located in the heart of the Anatolian steppe. On arrival we will visit the museum-mausoleum Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi (1207-1273), founder of the sect of whirling dervishes Mystics. Laterwe will go to the Cappadocia region, where the indescribable harmony of a kaleidoscope of colors, makes red and brown tones: grays, greens and yellows. Dinner and accommodation. At night optionally may attend a ceremony (sema) of whirling dervishes.
Day 07 CAPPADOCIA
Breakfast. Alternatively you can make a spectacular hot air balloon ride at dawn. Departure to visit this fantastic region, where St. George was born, with its fascinating and original landscape, formed 3 million years ago by lava thrown from volcanoes Erciyes and Hasan. There we will visit the underground city of Ozkonak which was built by the Christian communities to protect themselves from Arab attacks. Later we will stop at a workshop of carpets and kilims. In the afternoon, we will visit the numerous monasteries and chapels of Goreme. On our way we will go through the valley of Güvercinlik and admire a panoramic view from Uchisar Castle, situated on top of a volcanic rocks. At the end we will stop at an artisan shop decoration, typical of Cappadocia stones and jewels. Dinner and accommodation. At night optionally may attend a show of Turkish dances.
Day 08 CAPPADOCIA -HOME
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Cappadocia airport to take your flight back home via Istanbul and end of our services.
