Day 1: Cairo

Departure according to the arranged flights to Cairo.
Arrival to Cairo Airport and transfer to the hotel.
Overnight stay in Cairo.

Day 2: Cairo – Pelusium

Excursion in an air-conditioned vehicle to Pelusium, the ancient seaport and gateway to Egypt, and one of the first resting places of the Holy Family. From there, you will follow the steps of the Holy Family to Bilbais in the Delta and Musturud where a church is built over a well, blessed by the Holy Family.
Overnight stay in Cairo.

Day 3: Cairo – Wadi El Natroun

You will be able to enjoy a trip to Samanoud on the Damietta branch of the Nile, where a church commemorates the resting place of the Holy Family. Then continue to Sakha, a place that the Holy Family is also believed to have visited, and renowned for its Christian community in the Middle Ages.
You will round off the day with a visit to Wadi Natroun, a desert area said to have been blessed by Christ, with four monasteries still in existence.

Day 4: Matariya – Cairo

You will be able to visit the holy well and sacred tree at Matariya on the outskirts of Cairo, a well-attested resting place of the Holy Family and a popular destination amongst medieval pilgrims. Also, you will be able to see the Church of St. George, as well as the Fortress of Babylon in Old Cairo, which the Holy Family passed by, and visit the ancient churches, including the Hanging Church and St. Sergius, in the same area.

Day 5: Cairo

You will be able to visit the Coptic area churches. Overnight stay in Cairo.

Day 6: Cairo – Minya

You will be able to see the Church of the Holy Virgin on the banks of the Nile at Maadi, then head to the south of Cairo, where the Holy Family boarded a sailing boat to the village of Deir Al-Garnousin in Upper Egypt. You will travel on an air-conditioned vehicle to this village near the town of Maghagha, where the Monastery of Arganos was later founded. Here, outside the Church of the Virgin, a well is believed to have provided the Holy Family with the water they needed.
You will also be able to visit the beautiful church hewn out of the cliff beside the river at Gabal Al-Teir in Minya.

Day 7: Minya

Trip to the Monastery of the Holy Virgin at Al Qusiya, a popular site for pilgrims from ancient times. The Holy Family is believed to have stayed at this site for over three years.
Overnight stay in Minya.

Day 8: Minya-Cairo

Return to the hotel in Cairo for an overnight stay.

Day 9: Cairo

Breakfast and transfer to Cairo International Airport for departure back home.
