Day 1 DEPARTURE CITY – HANOI

Departure according to flights scheduled to Hanoi (via another European city). Overnight on board.

Day 2 HANOI

Arrival at Hanoi airport. Transfer to the hotel in the city (1hour) and check in to the hotel (the rooms are available from 14.00). Free afternoon in Hanoi to relax or to explore the city. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 3 HANOI

After breakfast we will go for a city tour to Hanoi- the current capital of Vietnam, it is a unique city in Asia with its tree-lined avenues, its French colonial architecture and oriental temples. Our tour will include Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (only outside), the house of Ho Chi Minh, the One Pillar Pagoda, Tran Quoc Pagoda, the Quan Thanh and Literature temple. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, we will visit Ngoc Son Pagoda in the middle of Hoan Kiem Lake. At the end of the afternoon, we will see a traditional Water Puppet show at Thang Long Theatre. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 4 HANOI -HALONG CRUISE

After breakfast  we will go to Halong Bay (3.30hrs-4hrs). Along the way, we will discover the rich lands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields. On arrival to Halong we will check in the Bay cruise. Lunch on board. After lunch we will stop to visit some caves and some floating villages. There we can swim in the emerald waters of Halong Bay (weather permitting). Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 5 HALONG -HANOI – LAO CAI – SAPA

Today we will go to Hanoi. In Hanoi and we will have a Day use room. Dinner at local restaurant before our transfer to the station to take the train to Lao Cai – Sapa. Accommodation in comfortable cabin.

Day 6 LAO CAI – SAPA

On arrival to Lao Cai we will be transferred by car to a local market (Ban Cam – Tuesday -CaO Son – Lung Khau Wednesday-Nhin – Thursday-Can Cau – Saturday – Bac Ha – on Sundays. Note: Market visit will be held on arrival day depending on the market). In these markets we can see Flowers such as Hmong ethnicity, the Phu La, the Black Dao, Tay and Nung. These markets offer a variety of unique local products like an interesting animal market where we can see examples of pigs, cows and buffalo. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch we will go for a short walk to a traditional village in the mountains. There we will see some houses and we will experiencedthe lifestyle of these people and their culture and traditions. Later we will return to Sapa. If weather conditions are not good the program will be modified.

Day 7 SAPA – LAO CAI

After breakfast we will go for a walk around Sapa to visit the bustling market where Red Dao, Black H’mong, the Tay and other ethnic minorities from nearby villages gather to sell their handmade products (jewelry and textile production). Lunch at local restaurant.
After lunch we will walk to discover the characteristics of tribal villages of Sapa hills, were built on the impressive mountain range and Hoang Lien Son. Later we will go for a picnic lunch. In the afternoon we will be transferred to Lao Cai. In Lao Cai can be possible to use a hotel room before embarking on the journey to Hanoi by train. Accommodation on the train in comfortable cabins.

Day 8 HANOI -LUANG PRABANG

Arrival in Hanoi and transfer to the hotel. Free time until the transfer to the airport to board your flight to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival to Luang Praban a guide with private car will be waiting for us to take us to the hotel. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 9 LUANG PRABANG

Optional tour at (05h30) to observe the long processions of monks. It is a very peaceful ceremony that emphasizes the spiritual character of these people. Return to the hotel for breakfast.

After breakfast we will visit Wat Visoun; visitors can see the famous Stupa Melon, whose form clearly remembers the fruit that gives it its name. This temple was destroyed in 1887 by the Chinese invading army of the Black Flags and was rebuilt in 1930 by Buddhist monks and local people. There we will visit Wat Aham and Wat. In the afternoon the tour will begin at the former Royal Palace with the National Museum (closed Tuesdays). After that we will go to Wat Mai temple. The tour will include also the visit of the Sensoukarahm Wat which was built in 1718 and characterized by a dazzling golden fachade. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 10 LUANG PRABANG

After breakfast we will embark on board to the “Nava Mekong”, it is a modern but traditional cruise. While leaving the Luang Prabang peninsula, we will enjoy wonderful rural landscapes and rural life along the river. After one hour, we will reach the Caves of Pakou at the confluence of the Mekong and NAMOU rivers. In these two caves are more than 5,000 centenarians and sacred Buddha images. The place offers photographers possibilities. Then the ship will continue sailing around the caves and cast anchor during lunch. We will be served on board a selection of tasty and typical dishes from Laos. In the afternoon we will visit Kuang Si waterfalls, located 32 km from Luang Prabang. These waterfalls are falling a series of pools of turquoise waters perfect for swimming. The jungle and dense forests are surrounding the waterfalls. (Note: to bath with a sarong ask and do not go only with bathing suit). Kuang Si waterfalls also host a local rescue center. After that we will go back to Luang Prabang, on the way we will stop to visit two villages where we can observe the traditional way of life of its inhabitants. If time permits, we will visit Ock Pop Tock, a store that works closely with local weavers to preserve traditional techniques and styles of fabrics Laos. Dinner at Restaurant L’Elephant. Accommodation in Luang Prabang.

Day 11 LUANG PRABANG – SIEM REAP

Breakfast and free time until our transfer to the airport to board our flight to Siem Reap. Arrival to Siem Reap airport and transfer to the hotel. Siem Reap is the capital of the province. Later we will have the opctioal to visit Angkor city, which has 40 km2 and 100 temples. Dinner and overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 12  SIEM REAP

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, we will be led by a professional guide to the big city of Angkor Tom. The visit will include the famous temples of Bayon, Baphuon, the Terrace of Elephants and Leper King Terrace. After that we will go the most famous Ta Prohm temple which was built in the middle of the twelfth century to the early thirteenth century. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will go to Tuk-Tuk to visit the most famous and magnificent temple of Angkor Wat. This great piece of architecture was built in the twelfth century and covers an area of ​​about 210 hectares. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 13  SIEM REP – Home

Breakfast at the hotel. Embark on a very interesting Tonle Sap Lake, where we can have the opportunity to learn about the life of the lake cruise. Tonle Sap lake is Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater. Embark on a typical boat and there we will visit Chong Kneah, it is a town where you can see houses on stilts that are submerged when the lake expands. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, free time until our transfer to the airport for your flight back home.

Day 14 HOME
